Terms of use and community rules

Important — this is not investment advice. Everything on Sparke is for learning and information only. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation, and not an offer to buy or sell any financial instrument. Investing carries the risk of losing your capital. Every decision you make is your own.

1. Who we are and what Sparke is

Sparke is a platform where young people find the people who build with them. You can post a project, say which seats on your team are open, apply to someone else’s project, share your work, take part in hackathons and message other members. We are not a bank, a broker, an investment firm or any kind of investment service, and we do not give investment advice.

2. Your account and your age

  • You must be at least 13. Under 16 you also need a parent or guardian to confirm your account — we email them and wait for that confirmation before the account becomes active.
  • You are responsible for your password and for what happens on your account.
  • Give real details. Do not pretend to be someone else.

3. Community rules

We want a place that stays friendly and safe. In particular, do not:

  • Insult, harass, threaten, bully, or post hate speech.
  • Spam, scam, phish, or run pump-and-dump schemes.
  • Post „buy X / sell X“ calls presented as a certainty or a guaranteed profit.
  • Share someone else’s personal data without their consent.
  • Post illegal content, infringe copyright, or distribute malware.
  • Use fake identities or manipulate the community.

Breaking the rules can lead to your content being removed or your account being closed. Anyone can report content that breaks them — a post, comment, message, project or profile — from the content itself, or at the contact address below. Every decision we make comes with a written reason. If a decision affects you, you can see it and appeal against it at /decisions, and you will get an answer.

4. Your content

You are responsible for what you post — projects, posts, comments and messages. By posting it, you let us show it to other people as part of running the service. You can delete your content at any time.

5. Features that use AI

Some features (the assistant, summaries, generated text) run on third-party language models. Their output can be wrong or incomplete and is only ever a help — never professional, legal or investment advice. We do not guarantee it is correct or available, so check anything that matters.

6. Limitation of liability

The service is provided „as is“. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from investment decisions, from the service being unavailable, or from what other members do.

7. Changes and ending your account

We may update these terms. Each version has an effective date; when it changes in a way that matters, we ask you to accept the new version before you continue. You can request the deletion of your account at any time in Settings → Delete account by typing your username to confirm. The account is deactivated straight away and your data is deleted after a 14-day grace period. During that period you can cancel the request from Settings and get the account back — the period exists so that someone who gets hold of your session cannot erase you for good. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

8. Governing law

This relationship is governed by the law of the Slovak Republic.
